Rob Resnick, a native New Yorker has lived in Brazil for over 40 years. During these years he developed a diverse financial and Agribusiness background which were factors in his decision to take a consultant position on the AMERRA Debt Brazil team.
His role at AMERRA and location in Brazil, has allowed him to focus on new investment opportunities and exit strategies for AMERRA portfolio companies. Rob also serves as AMERRA’s representative on four Boards of Directors: Serra Bonita (corn/soybean seeds), Fiagril Ltda. (inputs distribution), BioPlanta (ag-related micronutrients) and Tapajos (holding company vehicle).
Rob has over forty years of experience in Brazil having held positions at Citibank, Bankers Trust Company and Aurum Capital Management (VC) he brings a solid professional and personal understanding of Brazil to the team. In his last formal banking position at the investment bank Itau Bankers Trust, Rob chaired the risk committee, participated on the credit committee and led a team of traders in proprietary trading.
In addition to his professional activities in finance and agribusiness, he also worked as a non-paid consultant for 8 years at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and is a founder and active member of the NGO soccer school for children 7-15 “Canelinhas” in the City of God in Rio de Janeiro.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College.
