Pedro's hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to investing adds value to AMERRA’s various stakeholders. He originates, structures and implements complex transactions across the capital structure and partners with management teams to ensure successful outcomes for all parties involved in the investment process.
A native Brazilian, Pedro believes being present on-the-ground, connecting with industry professionals, visiting portfolio companies and keeping his finger on the pulse of the market is critical to successful investmenting and value creation. Pedro enjoys his close involvement with portfolio companies, which is key to generating positive investment returns.
Previously, Pedro worked in M&A at Merrill Lynch and Haitong Bank (former Espirito Santo Investment Bank), executing both buy and sell side equity transactions across several sectors, including infrastructure, agribusiness, food, and O&G among others. Prior to that, he worked in Brazil as a corporate banking officer and an analyst at Michelin South America, where he focused on operational improvements in order to optimize processes.
Pedro holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and is a graduate of Fundacao Getulio Vargas with a Specialization in Law and Finance. He is an industrial engineer from PUC-RIO, where he received a graduate honor award. He is certified by ANBID in Brazil and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
