Marcelo Marques Miyake

After a robust career as a sugar and ethanol (S&E) industry executive, Marcelo brings his vast experience to the agribusiness investing world, joining AMERRA’s Brazilian investment team in 2015. An industry expert, Marcelo analyzes various sugar and ethanol investments combining deep sector knowledge with sophisticated modeling techniques. Marcelo plays a critical role in AMERRA’s Rio Amambai and Bahia Etanol S&E investments, driving all financial analysis in close collaboration with the management teams and liaising closely with the shareholders.
Prior to joining AMERRA, Marcelo served as Financial and Investor Relationship Manager at Tonon Bioenergia where he successfully raised capital via bond issuances and other capital markets activities. Marcelo also worked for Integra Associados, a Brazilian consulting firm where he lead financial modeling, cash management, bank negotiations, and board presentations. Additionally, Marcelo held executive positions with Infinity Bioenergy, where he managed bank relationships and lead the company during their judicial recovery process, achieving a successful exit.
Marcelo holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and an MBA from INSPER-SP (Former IBMEC).
